Monday Motivation: Inspiration for Alcohol Awareness Month

The bottle was my solace, my friend in the night,

A temporary fix to make everything right.

But the more I drank, the deeper I fell,

Lost in the darkness of my personal hell.

Days turned to weeks, and weeks turned to years,

My life was consumed by my deepest fears. I was drowning in alcohol, with no hope in sight,

Until one day, I found the courage to fight.

Slowly but surely, I began to see,

A life without alcohol, full of possibility.

I found joy in the little pleasures of life,

And no longer felt the need to escape from my strife.

You are worthy of a life well lived,

A future bright, with love to give,

Take a step, and start the climb,

Towards a life, that’s yours to design.
